I am in the process of getting Chinese scans of Part 6, chapters 1-36. I was wondering if somebody would be interested in doing translation work for these chapters. If someone would do it, I could edit the scans to have English text and release them so that everyone could read them.
If you're interested, I could provide the scans via IRC if you don't already own the books.

I could help. My Chinese used to be better by heaps back then, and I'm probably a little bit rusty, but I could still help.

Sounds good. I say we wait about a day and see if anyone else would like to sign up, to see if somebody would like to do translation accuracy check or something. If you want to talk, I use Boco_T on the server irc.simon1.net (that's mircX), and I hang out in #ignition-one a lot.

UPDATE: A person using the nick ZenoArmani came into #ignition-one today and instructed me on how to get higher quality Chinese raws of Jojo's, so now I'm in the process of obtaining volumes 47-77 of the manga in Chinese. This is all of Part 5 (47-63) and all but 3 volumes of Part 6 (64-77). So if you would be more interested in doing Part 5, that would be fine also.
Either way, the more people working on translations, the fast I can do editing (or if you are good with Photoshop you could even translate and edit yourself), we could be quicker to release more of Part 5 and 6 of Jojo's to the public.
EDIT: Also, if you own Jojo's in another language that you can read and possibly translate to English (Italian/Japanese), that would be acceptable because then I'd be able to edit the Chinese scans. Any way is fine as long as the manga ends up in English.
